Black Rose, Red

Look into her eyes
Can you see
The deadness that has a hold
That holds the key
Darkness fills her life
Stumbling to get away
Can you just set her free
Let her become the beautiful red rose
that she's supposed to be
instead of the black dead rose
that she has so bitterly become
She clings to the memories of yesterday
and what used to be
with the little bit of life she has left
but thats all it is
a broken memory
and thats all it can be
nothing more
because she can't go back
even if she wanted to
she has to just let go
and move on
And become to person she's supposed to be
the beautiful princess God has created her to be
you have my hand so tightly
pleading she begs you to just let go
to just let her go
the bitterness is filling her
the walls are going up higher and higher
and no matter how you try
she will refuse to even you try to break them down
its over
its done
she is gone
and never will she look back
she's finally learning to laugh
to feel the joy and peace
her blacked heart
can't you see
she would give anything
if you'd just let her live again
